SMSACE6 Posted January 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2010 I have not yet been on the Paradise, but on my recent Liberty cruise, this past October and even back as far as my cruise on Valor in 2007, you could put cash into slot machine ( bills, not coins ), but when you cashed out, you could only credit your casino account. Then when you went to another machine you put your sail and sign card in and put your "pin" in, and there were your credits to play with. And in case you had no cash in your pocket, you had the option to charge the desired amount to your sail and sign card. ( Easy to do, but keep in mind, this is money you will owe to Carnival!, and not likely money that will reap you any reward! ) As for the pin number, I could not figure out how to put that in, but the first night of the cruise a casino employee was only "too happy" to assist me:D And the slot machines come in many denominations, 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 25c, 1$ and above, though I dont ever mess with those machines over 25c! SandyW Posted January 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2010 They seem to be gearing it towards everyone using their sail and sign cards. We prefer to use quarters...but are trying to adapt to the card. As far as what's on the Paradise. Since it's a smaller ship there won't be the same number of machines as you'd have on a larger ship. So where there are plenty of each kind elsewhere you may only have a few of certain ones on the Paradise. I haven't been on the Paradise since the late 90s so I don't know what they currently have. I do know .05, .20, .50, $1 seem to be the most common.

SMSACE6 Posted January 18, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 18, 2010 I dont usually play the maximum amount of coins, so I dont often win very big amounts. I like to stretch out my playing time and my alotted gambling money. My biggest winning on Liberty was on the Hexbreaker 1c slot. I won 80.00 by playing all lines with 1c in. It just gave me some extra "play time"!:D I have won 500.00 on Sensation in 2000, and over 600.00 on Triumph in 2004. Those were on standard three wheel 25.c slots. :)
