Triptakers Posted January 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2005 We're taking the Destiny to St Thomas, Dominica, Barbados & Aruba. Do these stops all have walk-right-off-the-ship docks, or are we going to tender anywhere? Oh, and while I'm questioning you all, once you get off the dock, is it at all intimidating for little kids? I didn't feel nervous at all at Roatan, but my little ones were a bit nervous, and Belize, forget it! That was a bit uncomfortable for all of us. Thanks all! Creole Girl Posted January 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2005 The stops on the Destiny are all docks. I don't know what to tell you about your kids being uncomfortable. What are their ages and what was it about your previous stops that made you all uncomfortable?
Triptakers Posted January 16, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted January 16, 2005 My girls are 2 and 5, and were a bit intimidated by the assertive locals around the dock. Being touched and crowded by so many strangers freaked them out. Is that likely in S Carib ports also? (although I'm not sure what I'd do with the information anyway, I guess it would be good to know ahead of time,anyway...

At each of the port on the southern route there is a huge area between the dock and where the taxi cabs and vendors can stand. The closet would be in St Thomas but its not bad at all. Have a great cruise.
