Hello all,

We are going on our second cruise on 13th Feb on Ventura for 14 nights in Caribbean. We are travelling with our six year old daughter - this is our first cruise with P&O and really looking forward to our trip.

Does anyone have experience of our balcony cabin no A637 ?

Also, it will be the first time we have visited the Islands of Aruba, Curacao & St. Vincent - any suggestions for good excursions / things to do on these islands and / or the best beaches to visit ?

Having read the reports on Catalina Island lets hope we dock at an alternative destination !

Sorry to ask so many questions, but we are very excited. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Rich & Amanda

On Aruba, I would strongly recommend the trip to Palm Island, I really think your daughter would love it. We went over Christmas. It is an "all-inclusive" day, starting with breakfast, then lunch (all sorts of food, buffet, salad or burgers and fries) and all drinks. You will see the Blue Parrot fish in the sea and they are the size of a large dinner plate, we were feeding them with scrambled egg off the breakfast buffet, amazing sight! You can snorkel from a platform in the sea, the fish come right up to you. There is also a water park playground with slides and jets and cascades, and a sandy beach.

On Curacao there is a really good sea-life aquarium (get a taxi) where you can swim with a dolphin or just watch other people, and it has many other attractions as well. Have a look on Google, my mum and dad went there and enjoyed it.

On St. Vincent we went kayaking, don't know how adventurous you are? There were several children on our trip, maybe a little older than your daughter. There are single and double kayaks available and they're quite easy to paddle. Life jackets are provided of course.
