Destiny - back staircase?

I have read there is a staircase at the back of the ship that gives quick access from the 8th floor to the Lido deck - is it only between these 2 floors or is it accessible from the 7th deck also?

I think the stairs connect all decks up to deck 9 (Lido)

Thank you - we are sailing Jan. 30 so I had to make the decision this afternoon. We are in an aft and Iam excited to get an aft AND be close to the food :)

D'Oh! I will see if I can change my room to Lido :( Normally I would welcome the extra exercise but my mom has a bad knee and I am concerned about too much walking for her

with a bad knee those steps would not have helped her-- may i suggest a cabin on the empress deck as close to the aft elevator as possible.

this puts you two decks up for food and pools and two decks down for casinos and whatnots.

the only traveling she would have to do is heading the lounge for the night time shows

We are on the same cruise, aft on the port side. I think we're right under the pool area at the back.

They are only for the crew. But they let us use them when we had the safety drill back in November. was nice to avoid the crowds. It is however only a short walk to the main stairway to the Lido deck. Two small sets of steps (maybe 8 per set).

 

We had cabin 8333 in November.
