cruiseawaits Posted January 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Does anyone know if the Carnival website, when searching for fares, breaks down the port charges from the cruise fare? There is a section that subtotals"cruise fare" and then adds "govt' fees and taxes" which then gives you the total. However, port charges are not broken out of the cruise fare. I'm curious because when I booked the cruise, "Antigua" was on the itinerary. This port has now been changed to St. Maarten, and I'm curious to see if there was a port charge adjustment issued(either +/-) to my OBC.
gazingm42 Posted January 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2010 I am not aware of a break down by port, taxes etc. But I do know that if port charges go up they can charge you the difference. From my understanding this will be done on your S&S when you board.... But if I a wrong I am sure someone will correct me.
Sargent_Schultz Posted January 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Port charges haven't been a line item for a while. They are lumped in.

conchead Posted January 22, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2010 I remember seeing them on another site, but cannot remember which one! When booking directly with Carnival, the port charges are in the base fare. You don't see them.
