JetSet2B Posted January 24, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2010 I will be doing the solo cruise thing for the first time coming up next weekend, and I'm tyring to decide what to do once I dock at Freeport and Nassau. I wanted to know which beach/resort is closest to the ports. I'm nervous about cabbing alone (although likely I can just share a cab) but I wanted to go somewhere relatively close that I can walk to or not have a very far cab ride. I don't know which beach is closest to the port in Freeport. Because the port in Freeport is industrial, it seems that nothing (beach/resort) is really "close". We took a 15 min. cab to Our Lucaya resort. There are cabs waiting for you as you get off the ship, so it was easy getting one ($5pp ea way). As for Nassau, you can see British Colonial Hilton from the ship. It is really close. We didn't go there, but I think you can walk there from the port. Hope this helps. jmcancruise Posted January 29, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2010 We loved the Hilton, and yes it was very quick and easy to get to.
