How's the Cocoa Beach Marriott in Port Canaveral? I am staying there one night before my cruise.

We are staying there two nights pre-cruise in March. Seemed like the best alternative to me, having read reviews on Travelocity and Trip Advisor - everyone seems to like it. Nice pool, easy beach access, a lot of restaurants nearby. Seemed to us the best option in the Port Canaveral area.

 

We've stayed at Courtyards before, and have had very good experiences.

Don't know about that hotel, but stayed at the Radisson in Port Canaveral, which at the time was very near the terminal. This hotel provided free shuttle service to the cruise terminal.

The hotel is OK but in a crappy, high density area with a lot of construction going on. We had a king with a couch and it was clean and roomy enough. The restaurant is only open for breakfast but you can get take out from the bar. The food wasn't cheap but tasted fine.

 

We didn't like Art's Shuttle at all. There was no organization to it resulting in a lot of pushing and shoving by the hundred or so people trying to get on the small vans which arrived one by one. The charge was $3 per person. We took a taxi back at a cost of $25 including tip and we feel it was worth it.

 

We have stayed at the Rad before and we will in the future. It is a little nicer and the shuttle is free and very organized. You sign up for a time and they call your name. Much better. Both places allow you to leave your car free during your cruise.

Well, I just cancelled my reservation with Marriott, and booked a Suite at the Radisson at the port Hotel. It seems very nice, although I dont know how to get from the airport to the hotel because they dont offer a shuttle.

Call Art's Shuttle at 1-800-567-5099. They will pick you up and/or take you to the airport.

You could rent a car at the airport and drop it off at the port and do the reverse when you return. We used Alamo a few years ago and we were dropped off and picked up right at the ship...

we booked the DOubletree as I heard it was just refurbished for $7 mil after the hurricane...anyone been there lately? Also heard the Mango Tree was a good retuarant...anyone been there??
