Rare rjm11 Posted January 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2010 I was wondering if it is possible to drop off your bags at Pier 66 prior to boarding, and walk to the aquarium for a couple hours, then got back and board the ship? Is it too far to walk... are there sidewalks... etc. Keeping in mind we will be traveling with young kids (4 and 3) who I know would LOVE the aquarium, but aren't the easiest to "herd" on long walks! thanks! Casagordita Posted January 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2010 It's probably about 1/4 mile. There are wide sidewalks and it's a nice walk, if your kids can do that distance. There are lots of boats and seagulls and other distractions along the way to keep them from getting too bored.
MDavis23 Posted January 26, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2010 The walk is managable. Also, across the street is a trolley that is fun to ride. Go to Ivar's, eat outside, and feed the seagulls. That will be a highlight of the trip. Very fun!
