Age limit on waterslide on Explorer?

I have 3 boys, ages 7, 11 and 13 and I was just wondering if the 13 year old would be allowed to use the water slide on the Explorer. Also, can kids be in the water park area even if they aren't signed in with the organized kids groups? Thanks!

My kids had a great time last year they were 8 & 5 - adults were going down it with their kids so it is plenty strong enough but I guess maybe not enough wow factor for the older ones!

As for the Adventure Ocean play area it is really just the slide and a splash pool with a couple of other smaller pools the deepest being 4ft. As I recall the kids have to be supervised at all times by their parents they were never taken there as part of the AO programme but then there were only 65 kids on board so maybe that's different on other sailings.

Also the slide is only open at certain times and manned by an AO member of staff. it was a great are for our kids its all in the shade at the back of the boat so they could play happily while we sat and sunbathed close by with the smell of Johnny Rocketts wafting round the corner ;)
