San Juan PR - Hotels???

Help, we are in SJU for 2 nights pre AOS & 1 night post (late Feb, early Mar). We have made cancellable reservations at the Wyndham Condado, the Sheraton Old San Juan, and the Marriott Stelaris.

 

What I need to know is this. Is the Wyndham Condado as bad as recent reviews in Trip Advisor? Same for the Sheraton. There is a price differance of $100 nightly from the low of the Sheraton to the high of the Stelaris.

 

Feedback people, that's what I'm in need of. Has anyone stayed at any of these three recently?

 

Heck, let's confuse it by throwing in the Courtyar by Marriott in Isla Verde while we're at it.

Have you checked out either? The hotles should be releasing inventory by now. I'd check out http://www.betterbidding.com before you bid. You should be able to 'win' one that your looking for. Can't help with those hotels, we stayed at the Intercontinental last time, and it was nice (@$125)

My wife and I stay at the Sheraton Old San Juan every time we cruise from San Juan, which has been 13 out of 14 times. We will be staying there again in April for a pre cruise stay for two days prior to sailing on the Golden Princess. It is convenient, the package includes a full breakfast, there is a casino in the hotel, and it is located directly across from the cruise pier. We just walk across the street when we're ready to check-in and board. There is a beautiful breakfast terrace off the restaurant. You can see all the cruise ships in the harbor docked at the pier while sipping a Mimosa.(LOL) For our post cruise stay we will be staying at the Wyndham Condado for three nights. We stayed at the Hilton Carib' last April. The price was moderate and the pool area is all cash bar, or you can charge your room.
