rainy4stu Posted January 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2010 My DH and I are going on The Middle East cruise on 8th february. Please could somone answer a question about visas. Just received our cruise docs yesterday and it says we need to get our own visas if necessary. Checked with TA and visas are available on arrival in each port, but she phoned RC who were not at all helpful and said if we didnt have visas in advance we may be denied boarding.Realise this is a new cruise but has anyone from the UK any information on what the situation is, as it is very short notice to obtain visas in advance. WeBeGone Posted January 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2010 Perhaps UK citizens have different requirements but for US citizens, no advance visas were required BECAUSE WE WERE ON A CRUISE. There are different rules when arriving by sea and staying less than 48 hours.
rainy4stu Posted January 27, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted January 27, 2010 Thanks for quick reply. As you are not from UK maybe Royal Carribean have different rules for you as they are an American company, but when we called them to check about visas they said they couldnt give us any information as they couldnt possibly have it on every nationality that cruises with them.We had thought that as we were on a complete fly/cruise arranged by them they would do group visas! Brits do not need them to enter UAE & the ship will take care of others if needed, don't worry I have just recently returned from a Costa cruise out there. (I am a brit) Kevin.
