Valor Cruise Question

they are not all included, some charge a $25 cover charge

One for sure is the Supper Club.

The main dining rooms for breakfast, lunch and dinner are no add'l charge along with all the buffets, deli, fish and chips, grill, etc. One thing is that certain beverages are free at certain times of the day and in certain areas where you are eating. Like coffee is usually free with breakfast and in the buffet areas but not at the Java lounge.

It will all come to you as you explore the ship and others answere on here...

Stevedam, you only pay for the super club, which is an optional restaurant. On the Valor it is named Scarletts. All the other food is included, unless you go to the coffee bar and get something there.

Also, don't be shy in the dining room. You can get as much as you want. If you want 2 lobsters and a prime rib, just ask for it and they will give it to you.

When are you sailing?

Pam

We were on the Valor in December. The only restaurant with a cover charge is Scarlett's. It's $25 per person additional charge. We did not do this. The other place that charges is the Java Cafe...Cappucino, espresso, milkshakes, cake etc. The prices are no more than your local Starbuck's and the drinks were quite good. The only other thing we paid for on board were bar drinks.

I just wanted to add....

The Supper Club is worth $25 per person. The dinner is like a five star dinner back on land that may cost over $200. We usually go here on the last day of the cruise. It is a wonderful way to end a cruise.

We originally signed up for the 6:15 dinner on the Valor.. but ended up getting the 5:45.

The 6:15 dinner is in the Lincoln dining room and the 5:45 is the Washington. Our room was 8285 in the front of the ship but we ate in the Washington in the back.. the walk did us good!!!

We decided not to make a fuss and it ended up being a great dining room and we had great table mates. the Half hour difference was no problem. It didnt even conflict with shore excursions..

Hi, I thought the food was very good.. Certain dishes better than others. Much better the RCL or Princess.. but of course thats just my personal opinion.

Beef Wellington was 'da bomb'..lol Desserts were wonderful. I loved the lunch buffets.. really nice choices.. variety.. loved the ethnic.. foods each day..

Always tried something different.. One day had a deli Ruben.. very good. next day went to the stir fry bar. Loved it because the food is prepared fresh in front of you. Nice sauces to choose from. Then there were the standart grill items.. hot dogs.. etc. and the goat cheese pizza..yum.. I also enjoyed the ethnic assortment. It was fun to experiment and try new dishes.. loved the curry..

The casino was not that big.. I felt it was small.. Tables were busy..But hey.. people did get up once they lost their bankroll.. so you can always get a spot. Just be patient..

The two main shows were wonderful. Tremendous production numbers.. great song choices.. The main entertainers had great voices.. top notch not to be missed.. If you like music of the 80's.. you'll love this show.. Also one was on the Club scene.. from the Cotton Club to studio 54.. so the music was diverse. Great special effects.. and sets.. beautiful costumes..

If you dont attend anything else these two are a must..

Did you sail with other family members? seems odd they put you all the way aft when the other dining roomw s more convenient.

There were three of us...

Not sure why they did this.. but there must have been some thought as to placement. My son is 14 and the placed us at a table with 2 girls age 14 and on aged 13.. He was very very happy...

So I guess there are no guarantees.. but really the walk is just not a big deal at all...

I dont feel it matters the slightest.... We left 5 minutes before dinner.. and was able to walk in after the crowds at the door.. perfect..
