which beach?

My family (DH, 2 DS (10, 13), mom, stepfather, sister, brother-in-law, and nephew (5)) are taking the best of Cayman Island tour thru Carnival. When the tour is over around 11:30 we want to jump in a taxi and spend the rest of the day at the beach. Which one is close, clean, and family friendly?

Thanks

The cruise line will recommend going to the Beach Colony resort on Seven Mile Beach, avoid this one. Instead take a cab ($5 per person) to the beach near Calico Jacks (facing the Courtyard Marriot, which was shut down in 2009) on Seven Mile Beach. It is not crowded and the beach is spectacular. We rented an umbrella for $4. On the way back to the ship try taking the local bus (only $2.50 per person). It will bring you into Georgetown right next to your ship. It gets really hot so try to get there in the morning.

Enjoy.
