CHIPMUNKS Posted January 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2010 We are flying to Acapulco on 5 March. I see that passengers flying to Barbados are fast-tracked to their ship and do not actually go through the airport. They therefore are without their luggage for quite a while. Is this the same at Acapulco?
OldJerseycruiser Posted January 28, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2010 Just checked on the P & O community forum and apparently you also won't see your luggage until you get on the ship. Also, another tip is to sit on the left hand side of the bus taking you to the ship, as you will have much better views. Hope you have a great time and please post a review, as we are doing this next January.
C at Sea Posted January 28, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2010 Just returned from Oceana's Panama cruise. We flew to Barbados and returned from Acapulco. Checked in our luggage at Manchester, saw it again outside our cabin! On return journey left hold luggage outside cabin before midnight night before and next saw it on the carousal at Manchester airport. You go straight to the Departure lounge at Acapulco Airport via security ofcourse. Quite honestly I was dreading te flight part of our cruise as we have only ever done Southampton departures before. But it was extremely slick and pain free! Despite the delays at Manchester due to weather! These were easily solved with the shopping available there! Its a very long flight back from Acapulco but I just about coped. Barbados not quite so bad. Free meals and drink helps! Hope you have a great time! Didnt put us off infact just booked for next Feb in the Caribbean again flying from Barbados!:o
The Welsh Man Posted January 30, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2010 Does anybody know the name and how to book the VIP Lounge in Acapulco? I'm with Priority Pass and they don't have access to the Airside lounge in Acapulco. Thanks for your help Carl

Marmaduke Posted June 1, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 1, 2010 Hi what was your fly time to Man from Acapulco please as we have it in December the other way? Our flight time back in February was 10.30 hrs, from Acapulco to Gatwick, non stop on a Thomas Cook A330. Those passengers traveling on the Thomson 767 flight had to stop in Sanford, Orlando for a crew change and refueling. All flights from UK to Acapulco will have to stop for refueling.
