There are 11 of us leaving in 12 days for a cruise. We are all booked under early saver. One person has decided not to go for personal reasons (no insurance). Can someone go in her place (name change), should we cancel her, or should she be just a no show? If someone else goes what is the penalty, also if she cancels at this late date what would the penalty be? Thanks for your help!

There are no name changes with Early Saver.

You need to call Carnival or your travel agent yesterday and see if something can be done.

Sometimes its cheaper for the person to be a no show than to cancel, if its a cabin for 2, and one cancels. Then the remaining person will have to pay a solo rate.

The room was for 3 people and she paid the 2nd person rate. The 1st person and 3rd person (the 3rd person paid the cheaper rate) are still going.

As mentioned, no name changes are allowed with early saver. Also, there are no refunds with that rate. The only change that is allowed is to change to a different ship and date; there is a $50 fee for making that change. Not certain that at this late date that they would even allow that.

No name change/loss of fare. I would leave her as a no show. If the cabin holds four, you could add the other person if they still wanted to go but they would have to pay the prevailing 3rd/4th person rate.
