bee-ess Posted February 5, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted February 5, 2010 Noticed today that N005 and N005A have had Catalina dropped out of the itinerary for March 3rd on the P&O Website - no replacement mentioned yet. Hope we don't get a total reshuffle as N003 have as I have independant tours booked - hope we find out soon
vizzog Posted February 5, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 5, 2010 Yes, after seeing Catalina drop from our itinerary on N005 we phoned P&O who have at last confirmed we will not be visiting. They cannot tell us how this is going to change our itinerary yet:confused: This is the itinerary for N003 which should have been the same as ours, it has changed around and is now visiting Grenada. 30-January-2010 VENTURA : BARBADOS 31-January-2010 VENTURA : AT SEA 01-February-2010 VENTURA : ANTIGUA 02-February-2010 VENTURA : ST KITTS 03-February-2010 VENTURA : AT SEA 04-February-2010 VENTURA : GRAND TURK 05-February-2010 VENTURA : AT SEA 06-February-2010 VENTURA : TORTOLA 07-February-2010 VENTURA : ST MAARTEN 08-February-2010 VENTURA : ST LUCIA 09-February-2010 VENTURA : DOMINICA 10-February-2010 VENTURA : ST VINCENT 11-February-2010 VENTURA : GRENADA 12-February-2010 VENTURA : BARBADOS

bee-ess Posted February 11, 2010 Author #8 Share Posted February 11, 2010 Just noticed on the Cruise Personaliser that the Port dates on the Excursion section have changed quite significantly - to our new itinerary I assume. I'm going to phone P&O to get confirmation tomorrow - probably be told that we are still going to Catalina !!

Norfolk Brit Posted February 12, 2010 #11 Share Posted February 12, 2010 As posted a while ago, it is believed (reliably) that the local authorities no longer permit Ventura to visit Catalina. Slipper is correct. Mary

sarar Posted February 13, 2010 #14 Share Posted February 13, 2010 Glad to see P&O are being consistent, in still telling their customers they will be visiting Catalina, when they know all too well there is no chance of it! Sara

Johnthed0g Posted February 14, 2010 #18 Share Posted February 14, 2010 So my Azura itinery is wrong then???
Norfolk Brit Posted February 14, 2010 #19 Share Posted February 14, 2010 Sorry, I misread your post. Afraid I've no idea if Azura is going to be allowed there, though as she's a similar size to Ventura, perhaps not. Mary
bee-ess Posted February 14, 2010 Author #20 Share Posted February 14, 2010 My issue is not the fact that we are not going to Catalina but that P&O staff have constantly denied that there was any problem with visiting Catalina. It has been obvious for some time that we were not going to visit Catalina but have been constantly told that we were - why could they have not have said that we were not going there, and a change to the itinerary would come later. I can only assume that the reason they are not allowed there is their own fault in some way and they don't want to give that impression to customers. I was even once told 'sometimes we cannot visit Catalina because ther are too many ships visiting' - as I have said before, master of bulls**t.
