Any Canadians use U.S. web sites to book?

Question for fellow Canadian cruisers - what's the experience out there with us using U.S. web cruise agents ? Any problems getting documentation "cross-border" in a timely fashion? Of course, normally use local agent, but want to be prepared for that "great deal" !

I used a US website. They just charged their American price to my creditcard and the creditcard company used the exchange rate of the date it was processed. I was pleased with the outcome. :) Some creditcard companies have a fee for the exchange, but it doesn't amount to much.

Although I haven't got docs yet for my first cruise (it's not till July) I too used a US web-based agency. The reason is that the price for the category I got was $1599 Canadian, and only $1075 US - even with the exchange rate that Visa charges, it's still a deal since our dollar is doing well.

I know my mom has a US Visa from TD, so that's something I might do as well...
