Guaranteed Balcony

We booked a guaranteed balcony for our upcoming July cruise on Valor. When you look online on their website after you pick balcony guarantee under the picture it says:

 

Includes stateroom categories: 8A, 8B, 8C, 8D, 8E and 8F.

 

8M and 8N Extended Balcony.

 

9B Premium Balcony.

 

9C Premium Vista Balcony.

 

I don't get this.

Does this mean that it only included those first staterooms? Why do they put the rest of the categories?

 

If it says "includes stateroom categories 8A, 8B, 8C, 8D, 8E and 8F"

Does that mean that those other are not included? Or is it that if I get REALLY lucky they will put me in those others?

 

I hope you understand my question because I'm having a hard time finding a way to put it correctly.

Whe you book a gty balcony, the least you can get is 8A (lowest cat balcony) and anything above. Heres hoping you get real lucky and get something higher but IMO any balcony is living the good life

You COULD even score a suite ... but unlikely. As above poster said, you will get at least a 8A, and anything above is gravy.

Booked a guaranty balcony 8a and got an assigned cabin 4 weeks later for a March cruise.

Got a 8d, a few decks higher.

Balconies are great and we had them for the last 10 cruises.

I booked a Bal Guar and we got cat 8c....on the valor as well!

Since some of you have had these rooms before (this is my first cruise) its a family of 4.

 

Do all rooms come with the fold out sofa bed or do some come with bunk beds?

 

Would I have to ask for bunks if I wanted a room with one?

You booked a balcony guarantee, which basically means you dont get to request how the cabin beds are ... but I believe the quads for balconys will have one bunk with a convertible sofa (pillows come off the back at night so you can sleep on it), not two bunks.

 

i.e. the word fold out sofa you are using, isnt what they are, they dont fold out in any way.
