Back to Back CRUISES (accounting?)

Booked back to back cruise on the Poesia, and could not get same room for the 14 nights, need to switch after 7 days...how is the accounting handled, at the end of the 7 days or once at the end of the 14 days?

...do luggage get transfered directly or do we need to stick around and do it ourselves? (not sure if we are taking shore excursion)

Like to know what to expect, hope someone can shed light.

thanks in advance...

Can't help you with b to b on same ship but we did Venice to Venice on Musica then transferred to Opera which left Venice the same day we disembarked. We were told not to put our luggage out the night before but to ring reception in the morning when we were ready to leave and they picked up our luggage and transferred it to our cabin on Opera. I imagine you would do a similar thing but they will just relocate it to your new cabin. Seems a bit stupid you can't keep the same cabin as it would save them the thorough cleanout and you having to pack & unpack again.

Good luck and happy cruising, we were very happy with MSC.

Cheers, Misty

We are doing the B2B on the 20th Feb. We get to keep the same cabin.

Never had to do a change over so all worked out well for us.

We were told to meet in one of the bar areas and when all other passengers were off the ship we were escorted back off the ship to the terminal and just waited a minute then we were taken back on board.

Very easy.

Happy Sailing

:) :)
