Has anyone done the reef fishing?

I am looking for reviews of reef fishing in Belize. I tried searching the boards but didn't have any luck. I'm wondering if you actually catch anything...was it fun? Any information is appreciated. Thanks.

I went on a reef fishing trip a few years ago off Ambergris Caye and it was absurd how many fish we caught. It was just my wife and I, and we were catching fish as fast as we could get our line back in the water. Lots of red snapper, barracuda and one other that I can't recall off the top of my head.

 

In a couple hours time we had caught enough fish for us to barbecue back at our inn for ourselves and the entire dive shop staff, and we had an equal amount fish that we had given to our guide to take home for his family.

My grown kids did it last year while I stayed onboard with their toddler and they had a great day. They caught quite a few large fish and they said the guy's running the excursion were very nice, friendly and helpful.
