Fishing advice in Seward

Many good charter people there and usually you will not have to pay a "price" for rough seas as the area is fairly protected from the open ocean.

Keep in mind that the time of year really makes the fishing. The later in the summer the more fish that are available in general. However the fish come in runs, so check with your choice as to what type of fish you wish to target.

Salmon are everywhere, but what kind may be important to you. (We love the silvers which tend to run later than the rest)

Halibut are now very problematic as the state now only allows ONE halibut per day.

A very overlooked and dismissed fishery is Rockfish. These guys are every where and a hoot to catch. You never know just what you might catch when doing this.
