CruiseJunkie66 Posted February 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2010 We are sailing out of New York on the Caribbean Princess and are booked in cabin P212 (Plaza deck). The cabin is all the way forward, next to the laundry and directly below the theatre. We are concerned about noise from the theatre and/or laundry room. Also concerned about motion because the cabin is so far forward and because the water tends to be rougher sailing out of New York. Would appreciate comments from anyone who has stayed in this area previously. Thanks so much!

kevinandrenay Posted February 9, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 9, 2010 We cruised on Caribbean Princess in January out of San Juan and were in cabin P216. I was also worried about the noise from the theater. We were in the cabin 1 time when a show was going on to take a nap. It was not a problem. You could hear a little muffled noise but it was not so much that we could not sleep. My wife is a light sleeper and had no problems at all. The one thing that was bothersome that I had never noticed in 13 previous cruises was the door slamming. The doors close quickly and have to be slowed down so they do not slam shut. I guess some people could not figure that out. The motion was not bad at all. You are far forward but down low. We felt more motion on the higher decks then in our cabin. For the price the location is not bad either. You walk down the hall and there are elevators close by. A little further through the art gallery is the Piazza with the international café. They have the specialty coffee ( for a small charge ) along with free small sandwiches and desserts. Go up 1 deck and you are at the shops and the theater. Go up one more deck you are at the casino. I hope this helps. If you have more questions let me know. Kevin
