cruiseawaits Posted February 10, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2010 In the midst of our "Big Snow Storm-Blizzard" here in Connecticut and keep thinking Saturday(warmth) in San Juan waiting to sail. Aahhhh! We enjoy just "winging" it on our cruises. Really look forward to just relaxing and going where the wind blows. Looking for beaching it on St. Kitts and am torn between Cockleshell Beach and Frigate Bay South. Anyone with input? I would really appreciate some info. on both. StaceyCT Posted February 10, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2010 Cockleshell was very crowded (lines of lounge chairs three deep, and we were the only ship in port that day) and noisy (music), with lots of stands selling stuff. It just didn't strike us as our cup of tea - we got back in the taxi and didn't go to the beach that day. I'd be interested to hear a comparison with Frigate Bay. ETA: same snowstorm up the coast here in New Haven area - very pretty but I think San Juan and cruise ports would be infinitely prettier!
