Walking into town

Does anybody know if its possible to walk from Havensight into "downtown"area of St. Thomas? And more importantly is it safe? About how long does it take if I am in good shape and use to walking?

Stretching my memory here but I believe it would be 20 minutes or so.

You can see downtown from where the ship stops at Havensight.

It is about 15-20 minutes walk and very safe.

The only hassle I remember last time I did it was that there were certain spots without sidewalks so you had to walk along some high grass next to the road. No big deal really and maybe that's changed as it's been about 3 years since I was last there. FYI... Lots of cabs will go by asking you if you want a ride.

I agree 20 minutes and safe, others walking too so you are never alone..it is hot and humid though so be prepared for the heat.
