Kayaking in Vancouver????

I can't personally recommend a place, but I see people kayaking in False Creek all the time (calm water between Granville Island and downtown) and then on English Bay all the way out to the Spanish Banks/Jericho/Wreck Beach area.

Here is a website that discusses kayaking in Vancouver and a company operating on both Granville Island and at Jericho:

However, I know from my sister that the BEST place to kayak if you want a more pristine setting is Deep Cove, about a 30 minute drive from downtown on the North Shore. We see people taking lessons there all the time. The water is calm and the views are stunning.
