jen01 Posted February 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2010 We live in Lawton and we are clear, I know most of the TX schools around us are still opening at 10 (Wichita Falls area), so the roads must be pretty good down there.
Luanne21 Posted February 12, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2010 Things are looking better and better, and the weather reports say we are to clear up today. It is never a bad idea to leave as early as you can, but I think leaving in the morning should be okay. Once you get out of the Dallas area, you should be in the clear. Good Luck and have a great cruise.

Tbay-eh Posted February 12, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2010 in Canada we have The Weather Network site and it is great for giving all sorts of info. I believe you also get this in the States - I can access any city there and get this info. Wish you well and drive safe.
silverfoxcruiser Posted February 12, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2010 We live in the (Bedford) MidCities area between Fort Worth and Dallas. Have more than 11 inches of snow and neighborhood roads barely passible. TV shows highways open and drivers making headway, but not much traffic. Check: http://www.dot.state.tx.us/travel/road_conditions.htm and GOOD LUCK!! Drive carefully and enjoy your cruise!! :D Silver
*Mach* Posted February 12, 2010 #7 Share Posted February 12, 2010 You can check the road conditions here: http://www.txdot.gov/travel/road_conditions.htm There's also an 800 number that you can call enroute. I think, however, you'll be fine... :)

Cruise Cat Posted February 12, 2010 #10 Share Posted February 12, 2010 Hi Silver!!! Snooner 1 - Remember that the highways are different from the side streets in the neighborhoods. The side streets had only light traffic all day yesterday snow the snow built up with nothing to plow it with. They do put resources into the highways though. It is already starting to melt (though slow)
