Tampa hotels w/ parking ~ question about parking lots

We are looking at the stay and park packages that many of the hotels offer in Tampa. What are they parking facilities like? We would prefer one that has a gated parking area. Anyone know of one? If yours wasn't gated, did you feel like your car was safe? Thanks.
