salmonbuster Posted February 14, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2010 Any advice as to where to get the best handmade Honduran cigars near the cruise terminal?
Gonz Posted February 14, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2010 Not sure, perhaps in the more touristy areas you can find someone rolling fresh cigars? You could also check the LCDH shop which is across the street from the RCL dock in Coxen Hole. Otherwise, if you're looking for popular cigars that are made in Honduras or from Honduran tobacco, such as CAO, Camacho, Toranos, some Gurkhas, and Rocky Patels you won't have any luck. Due to trade restrictions/rules those domestically made cigars are made in trade-free zones and instantly exported, so if you want to find them for sale in Honduras they have to be re-imported and are then exhorbitantly expensive, especially considering that in my opinion (but I'm a Cigar Snob) those particular cigars are not very good.
