Tendering in Alaska

You can check this web site closer to your cruise http://www.claalaska.com. It'll tell you what dock and if you are tendering and how many other ships will be in port with you. We tendered before in Ketchikan and will again in May with only 2 other ships in port with us. Right now all you can find out is what ships and how many ships will be there. Usually around March is when they actually have the docks assigned.

We were on the Sapphire in May 2007 and on the Island May 2008 and both times docked in all the ports including Ketchikan. One word of note, because of the relative short amount of time in the Ketchikan, most people wait until the last minute to get back on the ship and the lines are real long!
