Need Help To and From Miami Airport

DJM

Recommended Posts

Our family of 9 are sailing on the Liberty on June 26. We need to get a ride from the Miami airport to the port and then back from the ship to the airport. Anyone have any suggestions on best means of travel, cost and etc?

Thanks!

The taxi's are fixed fare between the Miami airport and port of $24 each way, so, it will depend on how many people you can "cram" in each one to determine how many taxi's you'll need. Shuttles probably run about $15 pp each way so the taxis are not only more convenient, but, cheaper.

It might not be just the number of "bodies," it might also be the luggage. Pack light.

SAS only does runs to FLL.

There are loads of taxis and even some van services. We were approached in the luggage claim area at MIA by a van service (although they must not technically be able to do that, because the guy said, "If anyone asks, you booked this two weeks ago with me, OK?"). LOL

Assuming there are 1-2 children in your family of 9, two mini-van cabs should do it - $24 flat rate (+tips) for each cab from MIA to POM. Even if it takes 3 cabs, you are probably saving money over a shuttle service that typically charges $10-12 per person to POM. Good luck!:)
