We are going on the Coral Princess full transit of the Panama Canal and were wondering if we should buy a wide angle lens for our video camera or is it really beneficial?

We are going on the Coral Princess full transit of the Panama Canal and were wondering if we should buy a wide angle lens for our video camera or is it really beneficial?

 

I know of no reason for a wide angle lens for Panama or most other situations that are primarily outdoors. Wide angle lens can be useful for shooting inside the ship if you plan on taking videos there.

 

My preference is for maximum zoom capability for outdoor situations, which will most certainly apply in Panama.
