mbisson Posted February 24, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2010 I'm not sure what exactly you're looking for---I take binoculars & Dramamine with me, and I take mass quantities of adult beverages (orally), prior as well
NCL_Cruiser Posted February 24, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2010 Hmmm...Monte...You take binoculars and dramamine, but no clothes...I'd hate to wonder what you're looking for with the binoculars, and are you passing the anti-nausea medication around? :D I'm not sure what exactly you're looking for---I take binoculars & Dramamine with me, and I take mass quantities of adult beverages (orally), prior as well
Don Haynes Posted February 24, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2010 If you are used to much warmer weather as in the US south, you may want to pack a light rain proof jacket and a sweater. It rains in the Pacific northwest rain forest and evenings can get a bit chilly, even aboard the ship. Dress in layers to keep warm. There will be no need for a heavy coat. There is so much wildlife to see, bring binoculars, especially if you are in a balcony cabin.
mbisson Posted February 24, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2010 Hmmm...Monte...You take binoculars and dramamine, but no clothes... It's not nearly as cold on Alaska cruises as some think it is...and the dramamine is in case I see myself in a mirror
amistad Posted February 24, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2010 Take an umbrella, raincoat, jeans, comfortable walking shoes, we wore an undershirt with a longsleeve henley type shirt and a sweatshirt over that so we could take off the sweatshirt if it warmed up. My husband ignored me about the raincoat and had to buy one at our first stop in Juneau as it was pouring down and our excursion got cancelled so we had to walk around the port in the rain all day. Now he listens to me when I tell him he might need something for a trip. Hopefully your weather will be great, but it's better to be prepared. B40 Tha Cruisa Posted February 24, 2010 #8 Share Posted February 24, 2010 I would say in the future, rather than naming the thread after your screen name it after the topic you are planning to ask/comment about. Only because you may yield more answers. :)
