LRGidget Posted February 25, 2010 Author #79 Share Posted February 25, 2010 After getting kicked around by many glad to see that someone at least wondered about the message from them. Raising prices I can understand but telling me that they had a great season so they are raising the prices?????
Litewait Posted February 26, 2010 #80 Share Posted February 26, 2010 They aren't, in fact, they're experiencing record bookings: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Carnival-to-raise-prices-as-apf-4001526403.html?x=0 Because they havbe dropped prices so dramatically. If oprices were highter they would NOT be having "record bookings". I cruised 3 times last year and have 3 booked this year and the prices have never been so cheap. These include New Years cruises. I booked 3 this quarter so I helped in the "record bookings" But had they not been so cheap I would not have booked..
dan40 Posted February 26, 2010 #81 Share Posted February 26, 2010 If people buy, prices will stay up, OR go higher. Last year bread was $2.19, now $2.89. Milk was $2.86, now approaching $4.00. Gas was $1.85, Now $2.72. No one warned me ahead of time and the Govt says there is no COLA as there was no inflation. Must be that new hi-tech slimy math!
