Has anyone been to San Pedro?

Our ship will be stopping in Belize at the end of March. I have already been to Bannister Island, so we are looking for something diffferent. I have seen pictures of San Pedro and it looks absolutely beautiful. Has anyone been there? Did you book it before you left? Do any of the tours that you see when you get off the ship go there? Eco Tours has one excursion there but it is rather pricey. I would like to snorkel and see the island. Does anyone know of any other companies who have an excursion that goes here?

You can take the watertaxi to San Pedro but you may not have a lot of time to do anything there, given the schedules and your ship's last tender time.
