Beach Club Hours vs. Arrival Time

We are booked on the Carnival Destiny for the July 8 sailing and are scheduled to dock at Cozumel on Sunday. However, the time listed on the itinerary is 1 pm.

I have been looking at the various beach clubs/parks and they all seem to close at 5 pm. Given disembarkation and transportation time, that doesn't seem like adequate time at all to visit any of these. Is this a case where I am likely going to have to book the excursion through Carnival, where they might have special arrangements with a beach club or two?

If not, and this arrival time does not allow for a beach trip, what else is there to do? My crew doesn't care about snorkeling or diving.

I'm interested in this as well. we'll be in Cozumel from 1pm - 10pm and we have 3 kids. I feel like after we make it off the ship and to wherever we're going, it'll be at least 2pm.

Has anyone done any of these beach excursions when they've arrived in the afternoon? Do they let you stay later or what?
