Cruise Port to Fort Zachary Taylor

How far is it from where the cruise ships dock to Zachary Taylor Beach? Is it withing walking distance for a 7 year old? How long would it take to walk from Fort Zachary Taylor to Duval Street?

You will literally be able to see the beach as your cruise ship pulls into port and it is a doable walk for a 7-year old. We've been going to KW each year for the past 7 years and we do usually take our moped to this beach but many people walk from Old Town (Duval Street/Cruise Ship Pier) into the park. Definitely very close to the Pier
