bestresp Posted March 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2010 So what is the deal with bringing home so shells? My kids would love to collect some shells from the beach but from what I have heard this is a big no no. Is it only certain beaches or is it all the beaches? Thanks. Not many shells on the west side beaches but on the East side, you can stop and look for shells and coral. Small ones fit nicely in pockets and bags. But just make sure no sealife is in the shells. if someone says anything to you, say "sorry, i didn't know." and drop the shell. Big shells catch the eyes of the customs guys both in Mexico and the US, so leave them where they lay.
bestresp Posted March 3, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted March 3, 2010 Thanks. We have Gerry for the day so we will be going to the east side.I'll be sure to check for any creepy crawlies as they are not welcome in my pocket.
