Shipboard Credit

I'm not sure how to use shipboard credit. I have shipboard credit of $550 from ncl. Do I need to use all this credit on my cruise which is booked for October 2nd on the Epic. Thanks.:eek:

As far as we have always heard and read, if the OBC is from NCL you won't get to keep any unused amount.

Yes you need to use it all and it should not be very difficult. It will be applied to all charges on your onboard account from the $12 pp per day tips, to specialty dining, shore excursions, drinks, and other onboard purchases.

And if, by chance, the OP is frugal, and only accrues the $12/day tips, and not much else, he can pry loose the rest of his OBC by going to the casino sometime during the cruise and asking for a draw from his on board account. He can place one small bet, and then call it a day and cash out. Or if he says he wants to play the slots, I think he'll get his draw in cash. At the end of the cruise, he can apply the OBC to his account, including to that draw.

 

That's as I recall, and I think it is so.

Yes, you can always "charge" gambling to your onboard account.

 

And that $12 per person per day will put a good dent in things. In our case, we run up that much in bar bills.

We don't gamble because we are notoriously unlucky, but the OBC comes in handy for the bar bill!
