Big Kev Posted March 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Gidday, Any ideas as to what is happening to LOS in 2011? Noted from Calendar view on RCI site that it is the only ship that disappears off the radar after next February. Thanks for any input. rednancy1 Posted March 4, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2010 I don't think the Legend is leaving the fleet anytime soon.:) RCI just hasn't released the schedule for 2011 yet. I will probably be in the spring. I believe the next ship to leave the fleet will be the Majesty or the Monarch. :(
Mydnite Posted March 4, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2010 I think Monach is likey to leave before Legend.
stazerd Posted March 4, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 4, 2010 I think Monach is likey to leave before Legend. Is this just conjecture? I would hate to lose either of these ships!!
anastasia1 Posted March 4, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Maybe they are holding on to see if legend can crack the Asian Market with their immersion cruises.
Mydnite Posted March 4, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Is this just conjecture? I would hate to lose either of these ships!! Oh yes, puee conjecture, nothing to base it on other than it is one of the oldest ships and a gut feeling.
negc Posted March 5, 2010 #7 Share Posted March 5, 2010 It is foolhardy to leap to conclusions with nothing more than the absence of information regarding the 2011 ship deployments as the basis for those conclusions and it really contributes little to a rational discussion of the future of Royal Caribbean's fleet of ships. In the grand scheme of things, ships have a much greater life expectancy than many wish to admit, but I suppose that is to be expected when we see posts questioning which of two ships to book when one of them is a year or two older than another, especially when that class of ship may have only been introduced in the past decade. Legend is older than that but I suspect that she has more than a few more good years left in her. When we sailed on her just two years ago, she certainly did not appear ready for the salvage yards. :)
