Transportation question...visiting Marigot and Phillipsburg

Hello all,

 

We are a small group of 7 persons (including a 2-year old) and will be visiting St Maarten in July. We would like to visit both Marigot and Phillipsburg, no beaches. Would the best way be to take a taxi from the pier and go to Marigot first, then to Phillipsburg on the way back? Are there taxi-vans available to accommodate all of us? I understand from reading some of the threads that it will cost $6.00 per person to Marigot from the pier. Anyone know how much it will cost to hire a taxi for the day?

We are regular vacationers to St. Martin. Call Maria, a wonderful taxi driver with a van that can accommodate you all. Explain what you want and she will give you a good honest rate. Her number is 011-599-5229639. She is super reliable and will meet you at the dock.
