momto2 Posted January 23, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2005 My sister-in-law said that on their last cruise to Cozumel the TA recommended this beach. They went and said it was beautiful and uncrowded. Does anyone have any info on this beach?
CozSally Posted January 23, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2005 There are two parts to the Playa Azul beach, located in the northern hotel zone. There's the public part, with really uncomfortable hard plastic S-shaped lounge chairs. That's free although you will be expected to purchase food and drink. Then there's the hotel. Due to the number of people camping out on their beach, they now charge a $5 entry fee and offer a $5 credit on food and beverage. The beach is very small but lovely. No beach toys. marjmy Posted January 23, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2005 We actually stayed at this hotel a few years back for 2 beautiful weeks and returned on a cruise stop last year, it is a beautiful (small ) beach, very quiet, good food though. We are considering going back there on pur April cruise, if the 5. gets you a lounge then it is worth it. MArjorie
