Majesty - Deck 6 vs. Deck 9

We are currently on deck 6 room #6096. I just noticed that the price has been reduced and we have the option of upgrading to Deck 9 for the same price or receiving a refund of $70. For those that have been on the Majesty of the Seas, does the 35 extra sq. ft. make a huge difference or would you just get the $70 refund? From what I understand both have the same size window. Thanks

I should also mention that without this site I wouldn't have even known to asks for a refund or an upgrade from my TA. Thanks to everyone here at CC.

If it were me, I'd take the deck nine. There have been reports of noise in deck six ocean views from people on the Promenade deck, you get the extra room, and you're closer to the pool, Windjammer, etc.

OTOH, the view from deck six will be unobstructed clear down to the water, deck nine will have life boats,etc. obstructing the direct downward view.
