Anyone book the Cozumel Scavenger Hunt that's not on Carnival?

Hi there,

 

Well, we recently came across a link for cometocozumel (dot) com - thanks to a fellow Cruise Critic poster. It looks like this company is producing the "Amazing Cozumel Race" for anyone - not just Carnival passengers.

 

My group of 6 is VERY interested in signing up, but I just want to see if anyone here has had any contact with this organization.

The 'other' scavenger hunt was started by two disgruntled employees of the real Amazing Cozumel Race. It is a nearly identical race without the cleverness. (I have played both. They even give out prizes that say, "Amazing Cozumel Race. I can't believe that they haven't been stopped.) My understanding, by the way, is that the original one is now available to all players, not just Carnival passengers. (Check out their website: http://www.theamazingcozumelrace.com). Trust me, whether or not you've already played the original, there's no reason to bother with the copy -- unless you're the type of person who prefers tribute bands to the real thing.
