St. Thomas for sure...my sister bought me a pair of 14K gold, princess cut 1/2 carat (total) stud diamond earrings - $399. -- appraised today at $1,500.

 

If you would like the name of the shop I will ask my sister.

Yes please that would be great...Looking on getting the wife some diamond earrings.....But would like a nice shop that is trusted by us on cruise critic as well as princess cruise line.........Thanks again and it sounds like it was a great deal=)

Right in your own hometown area.

There's very little time for comparison shopping.

I have read horror stories about jewelry purchases in the Caribbean.

If the piece is damaged or under-graded :cool: laws don't protect you.

I totally agree. We have made many purchases at Kays in St. Martin and always been very satisfied with the quality, and the price has always beat anything we have found in St. Thomas.

We have had good experiences with Cardow's in St. Thomas. There main and largest store is downtown on Main Street near the Post Office.
