***Imagination Dry Dock this fall?***

Does anyone know when Imagination is going into dry dock this fall? I think I read somewhere on this board that Imagination will be going into dry dock in October.

Other than that question, I was wondering if anyone knows what will be done to the ship during this time?

Finally, has anyone experienced a cruise shortly after a ship comes out of dry dock? Are there a lot of "bugs" that have to be worked out? Is the staff the same as before dry dock or could there also be problems with new staff as well?

people said that her sister ship the inspiration came out of drydock better than ever and i did not see any comments on changed service or any mention of kinks being worked out although i am sure there will be some minor things here or there. we were on the imagination 4 or so years ago and inspiration a couple of years ago and loved them both, great ships !!

This will be a regular scrape and paint. Pull props and that kind of thing. Also if any fabrics are due for change they will. This type of drydock is done about every two and a half years normally....She has already had all the major changes done in her last drydock...

I wonder if they (Imagination and Inspiration) will be getting the new balconies since they weren't added during their EOF remodel?

That is what I am wondering too.

I am also wondering why the Fantasy is going into drydock at the end of this year. She was just in drydock at the end of 2008. Usually Carnival does drydocks every three years. I am not aware of any problems she is having.

Could be for the same reason, she did not get the new balconies either. They must be turning a nice profit on the ships that have them.
