live2dive45 Posted March 14, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2010 We are departing on the Dawn on 10/31 as well and have been advised by other cruisers on our roll-call that have done halloween cruises that NCL has halloween parties and also stages goodies for trick-or-treat fun for children on board at various desks around the ship. That's the best I can tell you. Check out our Roll-Call...>NCL Dawn 10-31-10...Halloween Fun! for info or for posters that you may be able to contact

I have cruised over Halloween (it's also my b-day) & the Kids Club take all the kids to different locations on the ship for trick or treating. They do this early evening. There were lots of children & they had all sorts of activities for them. The parents can go along with the group also. Saw lots of cute costumes & they all seem to be having a good time. Last Halloween all the casino employees were in costume as well as many of the crew and a fair amount of the passengers were in masks or costumes...they do celebrate Halloween onboard. terrymtex01 Posted March 15, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 15, 2010 I can not pass up a Halloween thread on CC as it brings up such a fun memory for me. For our Nov Dawn repo cruise last year it was the day after Halloween and my dear CC friend Eileen suggested on our Meet and Greet thread that since all of us would probably be traveling Halloween day to get to NY that we should all bring our Halloween candy to the Meet and Greet. I thought that was a great idea. I had not purchased any candy specially for Halloween, but I keep a huge bowl of fun sized candy bars in our entrance way year round for when any children or "kids at heart" come over to our house. This is a tradition I got from my beloved sister. For Halloween I usually stock up on full sized candy bars if I am able to because I have always wanted to be known as the house that gives out the best candy.. 8-). Anyway, I thought sweet Eileens idea was a great one and I loaded up a huge gallon zip lock bag of candy from our entry way bowl and stuffed it to the brim with candy to bring to the Meet and Greet. The reason I have such a fond funny memory of this is because by the time it we went to the Meet and Greet I had given out so much of the candy to kids at the airport, service men and women I would see along the trip to NYC, kids at the hotel, kids at the cruise terminal, kids I saw onboard the ship and of course the times Doug and I dipped into the bag, there was almost no candy left for the Meet and Greet. At the Meet and Greet Eileen asked "Where is that bag of candy you were going to bring" and I am sure I turned three shades of red when I had to explain that I had brought it, but it was practically empty two days into the cruise.
