Carnival Dream- 4/17/10

My family and I are going to be sailing on the Dream on 4-17-10. This will be our first Carnival cruise and I have a few questions. We will be staying on deck 2. Is this a good deck to stay on? How many pools are on the ship? Also what nights are Formal Night?
