bling19572010 Posted March 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2010 What is the best time of the year to take a Panama Canal cruise? Thanks!
sptrout Posted March 15, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2010 During the winter months, which is their "dry" season. Not really all that dry......Panama is in a rain forest. There is another thread that has beat this subject pretty hard; you may want to check it out.
kestrel Posted March 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 16, 2010 The dry season is from around mid-December to mid-April. IMHO, that's the best time to cruise the Panama Canal.
BillB48 Posted March 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2010 While it may be possible to find a Canal cruise almost any month of the year, most of the cruises you will encounter will occur from around September until around the begining of May. The majority of these cruises will occur during the December-April time frame, which is dry season as noted above. Even if you pick a cruise during the rainy season, it normally is not all that bad. Most of time when it rains, it is a shower which probably will pass fairly quickly and not an all day gully washer:D!
