wingnutphl Posted January 24, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2005 I was in GC in Dec. but I didn't go to 7 mile beach. We were told by the cab driver that it's bigger than before but all the trees have been stripped of their leaves. GC is trying real hard to get the island back into shape. lindnet Posted January 24, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2005 I had never been to 7 Mile Beach before, so I can't give you a comparison to how it was before. But we were there in December and the beach looked great! Yes, you could look everywhere and see damaged trees and buildings all over the island. But the beach itself was fine. Cruisin' Patty Posted January 24, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2005 We were there week before last on the Splendour, it was crowded by 10 am when we got there. (Sea Grape) It looked wonderful. NO problems. You could of course still see damage on the way to and from there.
weechloe Posted January 24, 2005 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2005 We are also crusing in March of the Explorer. We walked the 7 mile beach in November. There was a lot of debris and nothing was open at that time but the beach itself was beautiful. I will definitely walk the beach again in March.:D
