There are 5 of us girls headed to Cozumel in April. We are looking to get input about which beach is better. We are trying to decide between playa mia and passion island. Both are the same price with open bars and a mexican buffet. Thanks for any input!

The Isla Passion can only be accessed by boat and is less crowded. If you like amusement park rides and roller coasters, do the Twister. Playa Mia is almost next door to Nachi Cocom (Mr Sanchos inbetweeen,IIRC) and has lots of attractions. But it is also where cruise lines go for their beach excursions so it could be crowded.

Have been to both - TWISTER hands down!!! As posted, Playa Mia will be crowded. Isla Passion had more than enough chairs to accomodate everyone. I am not a thrill ride person by any means but absolutely loved the ride over. As you may have already read, there were flies on the food at Isla Passion, kind of hard to keep them away when it is all out in the open... We didn't eat a whole lot there, not like you are going to starve before you return to the ship. :D

Hint, the farther back you sit, the wetter you get, YOU WILL GET WET unless you are in the very front seats. Will definitely go again.

beach is wonderful and it wasn't crowded when we was there!!!

I would do it again!!

We have been to both and enjoyed both very much. Playa Mia had more people and more activities and passion island only had the people brought over on boats (we did not go on the twister) so it was a little lower key. Also the island is a little prettier. We enjoyed the food and drink equally.
